Several organizations and groups are battling the piles of trash along the beaches of Roatan. On March 14, 2025 Rotary Club of Roatan Utila and Guanaja joined The Island Academy of Roatan, Bay Island International School, and Roatan Marine Park and a bunch of volunteers, on a cleanup along the shores and baches of Sandy Bay. To include the children is essential, because they are the future and easier to shape than adults when it comes to attitude to the environment. It is strange to see how much people pollute their own food chamber such as the ocean. But karma bites and microplastic returns!
